We proudly present our Arabic event for 2022, to talk about the existence and erasure of trans people in Arab culture and society, a conversation with Suneela Mubayi and Raphael Khouri.

In honor of Arabic-speaking trans and gender-nonconforming people across the world, Transgender Awareness Week 2022 will host a session with Suneela Mubayi, the genderqueer writer and translator, and Raphael Khouri, the transqueer Jordanian documentary playwright, around the intersection of their experiences in challenging binaries of gender and culture and their work in Arabic-speaking spheres of cultural production.

The session will be held in Arabic.
