Welcome to the Transgender Awareness Week!

This week is dedicated to raise awareness about transgender issues. The Transgender Awareness Week (TAW) team want to shed light on the joys and the beauty of being trans. This week will be packed with different events, panel discussions, exhibitions, social events, workshops, commemoration, and concerts.

The TAW team, strive to diversify the people that we have with us during the week, bringing guests who share different life experiences, education and work. There will be events only in Arabic, for the arabic speaking community the rest of the events will be in English.

Bergen Kjøtt facilities offer gender open/neutral bathrooms. Visitors with function variety/ wheelchair users has access to the 2nd floor/ concert space/ gallery through the side entrance and elevator from the first floor, with guidance from the staff at Bergen Kjøtt (the side entrance is via a ramp up with a hight of 10cm; all doors in the route ahead has a width of 90cm).

Bergen Kjøtt continues to provide a spacious venue, with anti-bac and masks if you need. Bergen Kjøtt actively supports an anti-racist, all-gender, all-bodies inclusive environment which does not tolerate any form of harassment or discrimination.
