Radical rest is a term that has been used to describe a form of self-care that is rooted in resistance. It's a way of taking a step back from the demands of daily life and prioritizing rest and relaxation. In the context of intersectional feminism, radical rest is a way of resisting the patriarchal systems that prioritize productivity and work over self care - and community care..
Rest is a form of resistance against systematic oppression many of us face.
As Audre Lorde said, “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare”

In our latest issue you will find a rage of exciting works that explore various themes!
Like Maria Reflands text “Stagnation versus growth - a false opposition” In Ida Pallin Bostadløkkens text “ The garden is the beginning of all stories” you can read about how colonialism affected the botany of a small island!
This issue also contains comics, photo series, poems and other literary works that will challenge and inspire you.
VEKST issue is in Norwegian.
