Come and celebrate this amazing woman as she leaves
Bergen Kjøtt to follow her dream in business management
and some Tigrayan catering on the side
Our programme producer Deborah joined us through DJ
workshops with @papillonbergen + @konseptx in 2022 and
was hired as part of @bergen.kommune #Kulturlos
programme.
In the last year Deborah has brought light and life to our
team, community and programme. She has shared with us
her Ethiopian culture, her (totally awesome) cooking and
her heritage. She has shown us the inspirational power of
standing proud in her multicultural identity and at the same
time listening, supporting and empowering others to do the
same and be proud to be themselves.
She has produced hundreds of events with hundreds of
knitters, clothes-swappers, young people, musicians and
dancers. She has raised nearly 10 000 NOK for
@tegaru_norway for humanitarian aid in Ethiopia. She once
cooked (what seemed like) a thousand paler in one night
with @laksevaag + @salomon.jpg - and she has even
joined @misstatitati in a recording session.
Deborah: We are so proud of you and have learned so
much from you.
